About
The Bright Futures with Tiffany Financial Literacy Curriculum equips students with essential money management skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Younger learners begin with picture-based lessons on needs vs. wants, coin recognition, and saving habits, while older students tackle real-world applications such as budgeting, comparing costs, and planning a $1,000 -2,500 Dream Vacation Activity. Activities directly connect to North Carolina industries such as hospitality/tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing through scenario-based math and decision-making challenges. Students might calculate costs of field trips to the NC Zoo, budget for family meals using local grocery ads, or explore financial planning for a career in biotech or aviation. The curriculum is aligned with the Business Management & Administration and Finance Career Clusters, as well as North Carolina Social Studies and Math standards. It also supports the Portrait of a Graduate by building critical thinking, personal responsibility, and adaptability. Bundled resources include affirmation cards, financial literacy coloring pages, certificates of achievement, and student self-care prompts to strengthen both confidence and ownership of learning.
